Game Info

The Loop Labs™ is a platformer with two main gimmicks:

When your character dies, their body remains.

When your character dies, they get a random modifier and an ability.

The game is a simple (but rage inducing) platformer centered around these two mechanics. And they tie to the Game Jam's theme (an end is a new beginning).

The aesthetics were originally inspired by Valve's Portal, but it didn't turn out to be too similar.

I had a lot of fun making the game. Even though it's short, it's probably my best game work yet.

This game was made in around 5 days for Brackeys Game Jam 2023.

This game was made solo.
